I was the design & production point person for Starwood’s online template user interface called StarWorks. In one of the primary templates in this system, all hotel properties could log in and create brand approved web banners for their promotional use. The banners ranged in size from button to full page, used only branded fonts and photos, and could be translated into 8 languages— all factors that had to be taken into consideration as I designed the variations of banners for each brand, working only from the brand guidelines and asset libraries. These designs were then converted by programmers for the custom CMS.
